This quaint 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage is set on beautiful acreage curated with an incredible rose garden. To restore the beauty and bring attention to the cottage style, our client wanted a light bright and airy feel. By adding the custom beams in both the living room and bedroom, this added depth and provided a sense of permanence and history to the home. Recladding the house in a cement sheet weatherboard, means that the family will enjoy years of maintenance free living. By selecting a sustainable choice in Roasted Ash decking we avoided the use of chemical treatment as this allowed the natural tannins to seep out and silver over time. The post and newels at the front entrance are fully custom designed and hand made. This project was featured in Home Beautiful Magazine in May 2018.
